A locksmith is frequently the very first call, simply to have new keys cut or the cylinder changed. After that, cleaning and furniture assembly tend to happen close together, sometimes on the same day if schedules allow.
None of this needs to happen in a single frantic afternoon.
What tends to come up, and when
A rough timeline, not a rulebook
Rekeying locks, testing every outlet and light switch, checking the water heater actually heats water.
Furniture assembly, mounting shelves or curtain rails, a deeper clean once boxes are unpacked and out of the way.

Why the invoice question matters more than it seems
Many expats need to show proof of household expenses for their employer, their accountant, or a relocation allowance.
